Learn from the Best at The Art of Entrepreneurship

Being an entrepreneur is one of the scariest things one can do in their life. I have so much respect for an individual that goes out on their own and goes all-in. It seems that more and more people are opting to take the entrepreneurial route rather than embark or continue on the corporate path. I have had several friends who have taken this route and their rational always seems to be one of the following:

“I don’t want to work for someone. I want to work for myself and create something from scratch.”

“I want to be in control of my own destiny and carve my own path.”

One of the things most fear, including me, is where does one start? What should one do? I think one of the best ways to learn about entrepreneurship is to get advice from someone who is one or has had success doing it. Getting wisdom from someone and hearing them share their story can be so valuable. On Tuesday, October 7, The Art of Productions is giving you the opportunity to hear from 5 entrepreneurs who have had tremendous business success in each of their disciplines.

The Art of Entrepreneurship

The Art of Productions puts on some stellar events and brings the best speakers to their conferences. I’ve attended three of their events, one of them being The Art of Marketing, and I’ve never walked away disappointed. On October 7th they are bringing to Toronto 5 amazing individuals that will not only inspire you but motivate you to take action.

Gary Vaynerchuk

Although I only discovered Gary about a year and half ago, I am one of his biggest fans. From his books, ‘Crush It’, ‘The Thank You Economy’, and ‘Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook’ to his new Q&A video show the ‘#AskGaryVee’ show, Gary is a force of nature. He started off in his family business and using a Wine Library video show, he turned it into a multi-millionaire dollar business. People call Gary a social media guru but at his core, Gary is just an amazing entrepreneur. I can’t wait to hear him speak as he always delivers.

Alexis Ohanian

Alexis Ohanian is the co-founder of reddit, a site that positions itself as the front page of the internet. Founded in 2005, reddit has evolved into an entertainment, social networking and news based community site where registered community members submit content and interact with each other. In 2013, Alexis released his first book ‘Without Their Permission: How the 21st Century Will Be Made, Not Managed’, where he shared his ideas, tips and philosophies about harnessing the power of the web for good while also documenting his entrepreneurship journey for others to learn from. Eric Ryan

Eric is the speaker I’m the least familiar with but after reading his bio, his work has definitely peaked my interest just because I most relate to where he’s come from. Starting off in the advertising world for 7 years working on brands like Gap, Old Navy and Saturn, Eric decided to join forces with Adam Lowry and create a company that would fill a need. By fusing their knowledge of fashion and design, Eric and Adam invented a modern, stylish and environmentally friendly line of cleaning products called Method that are quickly finding their way to becoming permanent fixtures in homes around the world. I can’t wait to hear Eric’s story.

Chris Guillebeau

I first learned about Chris when Mitch Joel interviewed him on his Six Pixels podcast about his second book, ‘The $100 Startup: Reinvent the Way You Make a Living, Do What You Love, and Create a New Future’. His entrepreneurial history has ranged from importing coffee from Jamaica, search engine optimization in its early days, Google Adwords and Adsense arbitrage, to building a small publishing company while volunteering in Africa. He now writes and sells a product he calls, Unconventional Guides. Chris has a great story that will inspire all and should be one to watch out for.
